A native of Michigan who grew up in Colorado, California, and Missouri, Granger Whitelaw developed an adventurous spirit that transformed him into the quintessential entrepreneur. The founder of a number of businesses in a variety of fields, he also has held senior management positions at several other firms. Granger Whitelaw proudly served in the U.S. Army as a member of the United Nations Command Honor Guard Company in Seoul, Korea. He attended the University of Minnesota in Twin Cities, where he studied marketing and international trade.
In his current post, as an advisor and consultant in media and technology at Social Media 123-4 in New York, Granger Whitelaw assists small and large businesses in marketing their brands to grow revenue. As an entrepreneur, Granger Whitelaw pursued opportunities in such areas as home improvement, the entertainment industry, medical software, and rocket racing. A co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Rocket Racing League for five years, he directed day-to-day operations and oversaw efforts in technology, finance, marketing, and racing. Modeled after NASCAR, Formula 1, and Indy Car races, as well as air shows, the technology pits racing teams on a two-mile course in the air. Granger Whitelaw formed the league with Peter Diamandis, who partnered with Reno Air Racing Association to found the Ansari X-Prize, a $10 million space competition.
Prior to joining Social Media 123-4, Granger Whitelaw accepted a position as Managing Director of BlueCar Partners, LLC, a New York venture capital and consulting firm, where he remained for seven years. He also served as Chief Executive Officer at EOCnet.com and as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CoreCommerce. Devoted to his Christian faith, Granger Whitelaw assisted in funding the AMBER Alert portal and supports the Homeless Foundation of America and the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf. Outside of his professional and charitable pursuits, he enjoys engaging in a number of outdoor sports.
